Private clinics recruit over 5,000 people

The leading private clinics on the Romanian market will hireover 500 staff this year after completion of scheduled investments,a ZF analysis reveals.

The medical services market, one of the most dynamic at present,will attract over 100 million euros in investments in the comingperiod, which will go both to hospitals and to private clinics.

A quick review of the projects announced so far reveals thatmost of the investments are in the range of tens of millions ofeuros, high amounts for this sector, considering that theinvestment in one clinic can be 1-2 million euros, reflecting onthe one hand attractiveness to investors, and on the other handpersonnel needs in these new facilities.

The Medicover network, one of the leading players in the sector,could build a hospital with 88 beds in Pipera, following a 40million-euro investment, and Centrul Medical Unirea (Unirea MedicalCentre) announced it had 30 million euros for investments over thenext few years, with 12 million euros going to a hospital.

Medicana Hospital, one of the biggest private hospital networksin Turkey, will enter the Romanian market via a 30 million-europroject to build a hospital in Bucharest, which could start at theend of September, according to Mediafax news agency.
