The Romanian managers whom US giant Pfizer recruited to work abroad

In the past three years, Pfizer has recruited seven Romanianmanagers to work abroad. In July 2006, the drug maker appointedCristina Russ as a manager for Champix at the New York centralheadquarters. Russ, 42, graduated from the Medicine and PharmacyFaculty of Bucharest and worked as a group product physician inRomania. In September 2006, Roxana Varvara, 48, was appointed as abrand manager with the unit of Walton Oaks (United Kingdom), afterworking as a therapy area team leader in Romania. In October 2006,Pfizer recruited three Romanians to work abroad: Caius Chirita,Bogdan Nita and Catrinel Galateanu. Chirita, 48, was appointedregulatory affairs manager with the regional headquarters ofBrussels. Nita, 36, works with the Russian unit as a businesstechnology director and Catrinel Galateanu, 41, was appointedmedical team leader Celebrex/Tanezum at the Walton Oaks, UK, unit.In May 2009, Pfizer promoted two Romanians: Gabriela Bodea andDoina Bratu.
