The Board of Directors of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) has decided to extend its daily trading schedule on the Stock Exchange by two hours, from 10:00 - 14:30 to 10:00 - 16:30 as of June, according to BSE representatives. The extension of the trading session is a move that BSE representatives have been considering for a long time, with the aim of increasing Stock Exchange liquidity, as well as of achieving a better correlation with international markets, which have longer trading hours. For example, at the Vienna Stock Exchange, the trading session runs from 9:00 to 18:00 (local time). "The extension of the trading schedule is a rallying of the BSE to the schedule of the majority of European stock exchanges. We want this extension of the schedule to benefit the investors, who will be able to pick up on the signals of sessions on developed markets and on the American market," Stere Farmache, Chairman and CEO of the BSE," told ZF.
