RoBank wants 6m euros

31.01.2003, 00:00 8

Commercial bank RoBank is planning to increase net profit to six million euros this year and banking assets to 140 million euros, up from last year's 5.7m euros in net income and assets worth 119 million euros. The bank will focus on expanding its office network this year and granting more loans to legal persons, mainly SMEs, but will also enter the card market. "We shall test the retail waters, as well, but this is not our top priority. We shall mainly focus on attracting medium and long-term funds straight from the international institutions, as we have noticed that SMEs are hungry for medium-term loans," Gabriela Tudor, the bank's vice-president told Ziarul Financiar.
